Why do lips crack, especially in winter?
Lips are covered by a thin membrane which cracks easily, especially on windy weather. This happens to protect your lips from cold, even if they exfoliate unaesthetic. Another cause of chapped lips is dehydration. Low consumption of cold liquids in winter and replacing them with warm teas and coffees contribute greatly to lips drying.
